Managing Director

Stuart is a Civil Engineer with over 40 years' experience in the design, estimating, planning and execution of a wide range of complex and challenging civil & building projects in Australia, the UK, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East.

Justin Hampton

General Manager

Justin is a Civil Engineer with over 30 years’ experience working within the civil engineering and building sectors in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. He is responsible for the development of strategic planning and general management of the company.

Louis Michel

State Manager WA

Louis has over 15-years of experience in the construction industry, specialising in civil and remedial works, managing large-scale projects in Europe, the UK, and Australia. He is responsible for all aspects of operations within Western Australia.

A qualified Civil Engineer James joined Ertech over 30 years ago working his way up from graduate engineer to his current roles as Chief Executive Officer for Ertech and a director of several companies in the Ertech Group. James oversees the Ertech Group’s business performance, expansion and diversification.

Gavin Miller

Chairman

Gavin is a Certified Practicing Accountant, Chartered Secretary and graduate of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors. He has over thirty years of financial and commercial management experience in various industries including manufacturing, utilities and civil construction. Gavin is the Chairman of the Ertech Group.

Chris Oates

Executive Director

Chris is General Manager of Duratec and has qualifications in quantity surveying and construction management, after almost 20 years in the remediation industry. He is responsible for tendering, negotiations, development of strategic planning and general management of the company.

Harsha Anantha

NSW Est. & BD Manager

Harsha is a Civil Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the construction industry, specialising in remedial and civil engineering across Australia, New Zealand, and India. He has extensive experience in bridge maintenance, bridge construction, and remedial engineering.

Aron Frost

Manager Geotechnical Division

Aron has been working within the Geotechnical Sector for over 30 years, managing piling businesses for over 20 years. He has worked on some of Australia’s largest and most interesting projects. He is responsible for Fortec’s Geotechnical operations and development.

Brian Charlton

Operations Manager Geotechnical

Brian brings over two decades of experience to Fortec’s Geotechnical division, providing specialist geotechnical and engineering solutions to clients across Australia, including various water and road authorities.

Peter Verbuyst

Operations Manager WA

Peter is a qualified Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of international experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. Peter oversees Fortec’s operations with a focus on safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.

Peter Preiato

Project Manager

Peter is an astute project delivery professional with demonstrated experience in the construction, mining, and civil industry. As a team leader, he can complete multiple projects, delivering favourable outcomes for all projects.

Ted Simpson

Project Manager

Ted has been working within the construction industry for 15 years in Project Management and Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) roles. He recently assisted to update and develop the Integrated Management System enabling Fortec to achieve Office of Federal Safety Accreditation.

Matthew Fenn

Senior Estimator

Matthew is a senior estimator with over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry, specialising mainly on bridgeworks and civil works on large commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. Matthew has a proven track record for time management and attention to detail in the preparation of tender submissions.

Joanne Preece

SQE Manager

Joanne is a WHS Advisor with over 10 years’ experience across the manufacturing, health, and construction industries. She is skilled in Workers’ Compensation, Injury Management, ISO compliance, and WHS systems, with hands-on expertise in risk assessments, incident investigations, and return-to-work programs.

Lisa Standen

Senior HR BP

Lisa has over 20 years of experience as an HR Generalist and Advisor across government agencies and the private sector. At Fortec, she leads HR initiatives, recruits talented people, supports employees and managers, and helps foster a diverse and equitable workplace.

Marian Baasch

Marketing Coordinator

Marian is an architectural and industrial designer with 15 years of international experience across Europe and South America. Throughout her career, she has combined design and marketing. At Fortec, she creates digital visualisations and develops marketing content.
